The Saiwai Shimoina
Wadaiko Festival is on track to becoming one of the largest festivals
in Nagano Prefecture. However, we could not make this event a
success without the generous help of all volunteer staff. We
hope that you will consider becoming a volunteer for the
Saiwai Shimoina Wadaiko Festival.
Some volunteer positions will require Japanese language ability.
Here is a list of volunteer jobs available for the Saiwai Shimoina
Wadaiko Festival.
Ticket Sellers
A percentage of the seating for performances are donated
to groups belonging to care centers for mentally and physically
challenged. Also, although a small amount of support comes from
the city, we mostly depend upon ticket sales to fund this event.
Tickets for the Saiwai Shimoina Wadaiko Festival Super Show
are scheduled to go on sale from the first week of April. We very much hope
that you will consider helping us to sell tickets for this event.
Fringe Festival Performance
Well, not necessarily a job. Yes, the morning
to noon festival is actually a fringe performance. If
your taiko group would like to perform in this fringe event,
please contact us at the TOKARA Office by May 1st.
Drum Club
This voluteer position includes helping to load
drums and instruments in and out of theaters, helping with set
changes backstage at the Festival, etc.
Parking Attendant
This volunteer job will include helping Festival
audience to find parking smoothly and evenly throughout the
parking lots of the Iida Bunka Kaikan.
Concert Front of House Staff
There are a number of volunteer jobs for Front
of House Staff which will include ushers, tickets takers, selling
merchandise, etc.
Photographer
This volunteer job will include photographing
workshops, concerts, and other aspects of the celebration. It
is preferred that photographer has own camera and some experience
of event photography.
Videographer
This volunteer job will include video recording
of workshops, concerts, and other aspects of the celebration.
It is preferred that videographer has own camera and some experience
of event video recording.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Donations
Donations are very welcome. Your donation will
help the Saiwai Shimoina Wadaiko Festival to grow and continue
to be an event for all ages to look forward to each year.
Corporate Sponsorship
Although we wish it were possible, ticket sales
alone will not be enough to cover expenses for this amazing
event. Therefore, we are looking for anyone willing to help
sponsor this event to make it a complete success year-after-year.
Any of the following levels of sponsorship would be great
appreciated, and if you are a business, your company's name
would be spread throughout Shimoina County through advertisement
of the Saiwai Shimoina Wadaiko Festival.
Possible levels of sponsorship are:
* 50,000yen - 1/4 page space in program (Black and White)
* 100,000yen - 1/2 page space in program (Black and White)
* 300,000yen - Full page in program (Full Color)
Sponsorship at these levels will guarantee a space in the program
open to promote your company, as well as your company's name
on all flyers, posters and other media associated with the presentation
and promotion of the Annual Saiwai Shimoina Wadaiko Festival.
